Multiple geomagnetic storms are expected to hit Earth this week. Suspensions of the solar corona in space generate geomagnetic storms, which disrupt Earth’s upper atmosphere and increase drag on objects in low orbit.
According to the reportswarned the UK’s Met Office that “there is a potential for improvements to the aurora, sometimes during March 13 and 14, as a result of a combination of coronal mass ejections (CMEs) and a high-velocity flow from a coronal hole arriving at Earth,” it said. adding that “there is a chance of improvements to the aurora, sometimes during March 13 and 14, as a result of these two coronal mass ejections (CMEs) and a coronal hole high. On Monday, March 28, the sun experienced a burst of activity that resulted in many M and C class solar storms.

The resulting geomagnetic storms, according to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), will slam the Earth as of today, March 30. More solar activity is forecast in the coming days, as well as more violent solar storms. The increased frequency of geomagnetic storms is related to the highly active solar region AR2975, which first appeared in Earth’s view last week.

Two Earth-facing CMEs left the sun on March 28 and are expected to arrive early on the 31st. Geomagnetic activity may reach STORM G3. Increased chance of seeing aurora on March 31 and April 1 for those further north. Assuming a clear, dark sky of course!

It has since generated six M-class flares, ten or more C-class flares and two halo CMEs, with more to follow in the coming days. This is a very frightening situation, given that a G5-level geomagnetic storm could cause catastrophic damage if the sun launches one.
Solar storms have increased in frequency as the sun’s activity has increased due to the approaching solar maximum. We’ve had a few G1 geomagnetic storms in the past week that only produced auroras or northern lights. This time, however, Earth will be ravaged by G2 and G3 class solar storms.

They aren’t the worst when it comes to sabotaging communications networks and destroying satellites, but they’re skilled nonetheless. The greatest danger is that if solar activity increases, we may be on the brink of a G5 geomagnetic storm, similar to the extraordinarily devastating Carrington catastrophe.
A powerful geomagnetic storm can destroy satellites in its path due to heat and radiation, which can damage sensitive equipment, as well as disrupt GPS systems, cell phones, Internet services and even power grids. Everything from aircraft navigation systems to hospitals and primary care is affected by this. While a major solar storm won’t directly harm humans, their attack on our technology will undoubtedly cripple us and cause widespread catastrophe.
