The first one is when you have to set up the device yourself, and the other is when the device has already been set up for you. If you have to set up the device yourself, then you’ll immediately see the Face ID option. Alternatively, you’ll need to follow these steps.
- To access the “Settings” section, tap the gear icon on the home screen.
- Afterward, select the “Face ID & Passcode” option.
- If the shop owner has set up some sort of passcode, then ask him to enter it.
- Next, tap on the “Set Up Face ID” option.
- Hold the phone in portrait mode in front of your face.
- Rotate your head in a circular motion so the iPhone can scan it and save it.
