Roskosmos in a menacing, now-viral video disconnects from Russia’s ISS modules [Watch]

As bilateral ties between the United States and Russia weaken in the wake of the war in Ukraine, a viral video has recently surfaced. Not only is it taking the scientific fraternity by storm, but it is also quite threatening. The 47-length video has been hailed as Russian propaganda and comes at a time when Roscosmos chief Dmitry Rogozin had gone head-to-head with the Biden-led state. What is the video about?

A 47 second video that is now gaining massive popularity on the internet is actually a “joke”, but there is humor in it. The video shows Russian cosmonauts locking the Russian hatch and maneuvering the Zvezda module away from the flying outpost. The module provides the ISS with living space and a tank capacity. While the US segment has the Japanese and European labs.

The Zvezda module acts as a space tug for the entire outpost and has the ability to steer the ISS station away from space debris. The life support system on the module works in tandem with the system in the US lab

Russia vs USA

Notably, the Putin-led state had gone ahead with its decision to end its decade-long relationship with the United States on space partnership. On Wednesday, March 2, Roscosmos announced that it would not go ahead with the launch unless OneWeb guaranteed that the satellites would not be used for military purposes.

Notably, on February 4, US President Joe Biden announced that he will downgrade Russia’s space program under new US sanctions. This decision of the POTUS follows the invasion of Ukraine by Russia. Shortly after, the Roscosmos chief took on the POTUS via his Twitter, rather in a menacing stance as he expressed, “Do you want to destroy our partnership on the ISS?”
