James Gunn, the director of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, has expressed his dissatisfaction with Avengers: Infinity War. He claims that if he had his way in Marvel, the decisions made for the Guardians in the movie would have been different.

Before the movie’s release next month, Gunn and the cast of the next Marvel Studios production got down for an interview with The Hollywood Reporter about the trilogy. Gunn expressed his excitement. However, he said that he is still guarding the characters he brought to the big screen. When asked about the future of the Guardians following the release of the third movie. The Joe and Anthony Russo-codirected Avengers: Infinity War and claimed that there were elements of that movie. That didn’t fit the Guardians of the Galaxy trilogy characters he created. “They did some things that I wouldn’t have wanted.”
Marvel characters
Tony Stark, Peter Parker, Doctor Strange, and the Guardians of the Galaxy band together during one of the key confrontations in Infinity War. Gunn continued by claiming that while Star-Lord in his version would not have punched Thanos and doomed the universe. He would have killed Gamora in Infinity War when she requested him to play basketball stars.
Pom Klementieff, who portrayed Mantis, stated today that she is unsure about working with a new director. “I can’t imagine playing Mantis with someone else writing the words,” and making a subtle reference to the fact. That Gunn had a hand in developing the character when she first appeared in the Avengers movies. Gunn noted that Klementieff and Pratt individually contacted him for clearance. When they were filming Infinity War.
When I was given directions, Klementieff responded, “I think I’m going to call James.”
