Launch Day for NASA; Artemis 1 mission to finally start today

It’s d-day for NASA and so far everything is looking according to plan. The launch will take place at the Kennedy Space Center in Florida. The spacecraft will travel six to twelve hours over a distance of 12-13 km. Read all about the launch that will take place below.

The procedure for the launch of Artemis 1 has finally started. The full results of the Artemis 1 will prove whether the waiting and anticipation and the extraordinary amount of money put into one mission was worth it or not. This will only become clear after NASA successfully performs this launch. The backbone of the Artemis Mission is the SLS-Orion. The Artemis program aims to return astronauts to the moon and establish a long-lasting lunar colony as a precursor to the eventual human exploration of Mars.

Since the confirmation of the platform, the withdrawal was completed and preparations for the rollout were completed, it is safe to say that it is a positive sign so far. The weather forecast around the launch area was also declared favorable and the NASA team is now looking forward to the wet dress rehearsal of the flight.

Artemis 1

Artemis 1 is a series of increasingly complex missions that will facilitate human exploration to the Moon and Mars. It is an unmanned test flight for NASA’s Artemis program. It is the maiden flight of the agency’s Space Launch System (SLS) super-heavy launch vehicle and the maiden flight of the Orion MPCV.

The Orion spacecraft will be sent on a 25.5-day mission, of which 6 days will be in retrograde orbit around the moon.
